Haworthia Attenuata
- Description
- Light/Soil/Water
- Hardiness
-
Haworthiopsis Attenuata is a popular and easy houseplant with bright green leaves covered in raised white dots. These white bumps, called tubercles, appear on both sides of the leaves and create a bold, textured pattern. The leaves grow in a loose rosette that can reach about 3 inches tall, giving the plant a neat but slightly open shape.
This plant grows slowly and stays compact in pots. Over time, it produces small offsets around the base, forming a dense cluster. Mature plants may send up a thin flower stalk with small, pale flowers. It is very easy to propagate by separating the offsets and replanting them, making it a forgiving and beginner-friendly succulent.
-
Filtered / Partial Sun, Low Indoor Light.
Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
